Whimsy Stamps - Cottage Garden

Welcome back to Robin's Crafting Nest!

What is better then relaxing in the garden on a spring day?  Absolutely nothing!

I am slowly adding to my garden every year and this image is a great
inspiration on what I hope mine will look like someday.  I love that flowers
and trees come in so many colors and textures you can really make
your space into a work of art.

I am using this beautiful image from DoveArt Studios available through Whimsy Stamps.
The image is called Cottage Garden.  I used a lot of different Copic Markers to color
this image today but really you could use just a few and it would come out just as
stunning!  I have been doing a lot of work in my garden and hopefully it won't be
raining this weekend so I can add some gladiolus bulbs to my garden beds
for another dose of color.  Being in the garden is so relaxing!

Power Poppy Tulips

Welcome back to Robin's Crafting Nest!

Have you considered taking online Copic Marker coloring classes?
If you haven't you should give it a try.  I just took a fantastic class by Rhea Weigand
at PassionatePaperCreations.com.  Rhea teamed up with Marcella Hawley from Power Poppy to develop an amazing class using the Tulips digital image.

I learned so much in this class and really enjoyed learning new Copic skills.

Here is my final card using what I learned in this fun class

For all the details for this card jump over and sign up for Rhea's class at PassionatePaperCreations.com

I hope you enjoy the class and the beautiful cards you can make from it in the future.

Thanks for Visiting!

Power Poppy Luminous Bouquet

Welcome back to Robin's Crafting Nest!

Power Poppy really has the most fantastic floral images for cards!  I just love
how Marcella Hawley arranges the flowers into amazing displays.  This image is
called Luminous Bouquet.  It has such an interesting array of flowers.
They all have great texture that really work well together.  There are so
many different colors you can use for this image to make it unique
and different every time you color it. I pulled the sentiment from another
one of Marcella's stamp sets called Loving Tulips.

Power Poppy Wish You Luck

Welcome back to Robin's Crafting Nest!

My brother in law was just recently married on St. Patricks Day.
It was a beautiful wedding in Hilton Head South Carolina.  Since both the
brides side and the grooms side are both Irish and they were getting married
on St. Patricks Day I thought this wonderful image from Power Poppy was
appropriate for their wedding card.  This image is called Wish You Luck.
I just love that is a bridal bouquet of shamrocks.  What a creative idea
for a bridal bouquet.

Make it Crafty Thank You Flower Arrangement

The Passionate Paper Creations Design Team has teamed up with
Make It Crafty this week to work on a fun challenge.

DEW DROPS!

I have never attempted to put dew drops on a project before.  Once I learned
how to do them from Rhea Weigand it was a lot of fun to give them a try.  I am
working with the lovely image from Make It Crafty called
Thank You Flower Arrangement.  I was nervous at first since I didn't
want to ruin my beautifully colored image.  It was good to try something
new and to challenge myself as a copic marker artist.  I am
very happy with how they all came out and tried them with a few different colors.

Whimsy Stamps Himalayan Poppy

Welcome back to Robin's Crafting Nest!

I really love to color flowers! You can do so much with flowers because they
come in so many different colors, shapes and textures.  When I saw the
Himalayan Poppy image from Whimsy Stamps I knew it was one I
could have some fun with.  Himalayan Poppies are pretty cool, they have
great texture on their petals and come in blues and purples.
I worked on blending the blue and purple together to come up with some
beautiful flowers.  I hope you like them.

Whimsy Stamps Valerie's Spring Rain

Welcome back to Robin's Crafting Nest!

Today I decided to work with a little bit of yellow and orange.  These are
not colors I usually gravitate towards so it was fun to try something new.
I felt the yellow rain coat and boots and an orange umbrella would be
prefect on this adorable image from Whimsy Stamps!
The image is called Valerie's Spring Rain.  I had some fun card stock
from Colorbok in Yellow and Orange and thought that it would go
perfect with this card.  I hope you like it.
