Seraphina's Heart

This week our sponsor on Passionate Paper Creations and Friends Facebook page is Sheepski Designs.  Andrea Norris creates the most beautiful images for Sheepski Designs. I chose to use Seraphina's Heart as my image for my card.  The minute I saw that image I knew I had to color it.  With it's cute smoke heart the image can be used for a wide variety of cards.  I just love it!!

I also used my wonderful Creative Basics Dies.  For this card I used the hearts from the Grace Build-A-Card Die Kit and the Cutting Edge Borders I Die Set.  I love how they both have the little stitching that goes around the edges.

Here are the Copic Markers I used to color my image

Scales: V01, V05, V06, V09
Wings and Body: BG0000, BG10, BG11, BG53, BG45, BG57
Branch: E33, E35, E37
Smoke Heart: C0, C1, C3

Hope you love my card as much as I do!

Peony Jar

I created a beautiful card to share today using my fabulous Creative Basics Dies.  I really love these dies, they cut so nicely using my Sizzix Big Shot.  The Grace Build-A-Card die set makes the most adorable round card.  I love the fancy edges.  I also incorporated the Fancy Circles die set to frame my sentiment.  For my image I chose Peony Vase cling stamp from Stampendous.  I love peonies because you can get them in so many beautiful colors.  I had a lot of fun coloring the vase as well, it just reminded me of old blue china my Grandmother used to collect.

Here are the Copic Markers I used to color the image

Peonies: RV10, RV04, RV06, RV09, RV69
Leaves: YG21, YG03, YG17, YG67
Vase: B60, B23, B24, B26

I hope you like it!

Here are the Copic Markers I used
Swans: C0, C1, C3, C5
Beaks: Y19, Y38
Water: B0000, B000, B00, B12

Boy Fishing

Welcome to Robin's Crafting Nest!

Today I am going to share my first card that I made with my Creative Basics Dies. I really love the shape of the Grace Build-A-Card Die Set.  You can do so much with all the dies you receive with this set and it coordinates with the Fancy Circles Die Set to give you even more options.  I also used Fancy Rectangles & Layers Die Set under the sentiment.

Creative Basics is our sponsor of the week at Passionate Paper Creations and Friends Facebook Group.  Come join us for great discounts from our sponsors.

I chose the stamp Boy Fishing from Rubber Cottage and colored him with my Copic Markers.

There are a lot of pieces to color as part of this image so I did use a bunch of Copics.

Sky: B0000, BG0000, BG10
Water: BG45, BG53, BG57, BG75
Dock and Crate: E31, E57, E79, YG97, YG99

Big News

I am so very excited!  I have been taking Copic marker coloring classes at my local scrapbooking store for a little over 2 years now.  I love coloring with Copic markers.  I really got hooked on the markers when I took a class with the very talented Rhea Weigand. Her classes move really fast, are a lot of fun, and are all about learning different techniques you can do with your markers.  I have had the opportunity to take eight of her classes so far and I learn so much at each of them.

Here is the exciting news. The last time Rhea was in town I was invited to join her design team for her Creative Basics line of dies and her design team for Passionate Paper Creations and Friends on Facebook.  I really feel honored to be asked to join this talented group of women on the design team.  This is such a wonderful opportunity to express my artistic side.  It has been a whirlwind so far.  I have a lot to learn and I am going to enjoy every minute of it.

Hopefully you will be reading a lot from me in the future as I add my cards to the blog.  I am very excited to share something that brings me great joy.  I hope you enjoy them.
